Does anyone remember that TV show entitled "Life goes on"? I do. I remember there was an actor who was mentally-challenged. He was a good actor. And I think that girl from 90210 was also on it. Speaking of TV shows...You guys remember "Growing Pains"? Well the guy that played the dad is the father of Robin Thicke (an R&B singer). Cool huh? Robin Thicke is so pretty and so is his voice. But he's married, and has a baby, so I have no chance.
Speaking of married men that I fantasize about...Barack Obama is soo gorgeous! Way more gorgeous than JFK who they keep comparing him to. And Obama has a better moral compass of course. I just wish for one day I could be Michelle Obama. That way, I wouldn't have to be "the other woman". I'd be his wife, but he wouldn't know that I was me. Haha. Seriously, that man is just gorgeous inside and out. And he's so smart! I love smart people.
So I'm going into the studio soon to lay some tracks with this guy who has the hook-up at a recording studio. I've been wanting to do that for awhile now. So that's exciting. Also, the photograher has put all my photos on a cd for me so I will have a link to those pics soon.

Funny but not
It's getting to be really funny that I have such bad luck with love. I don't know why I still try. The outcome is always the same. An early break-up. A late break-up. A surprise break-up. It's always a break-up. I've never had such a great guy that when everything ended and years down the road I said, "That's the one that got away." But I always take something good from every romantic interest. In this case, I've been introduced to and fallen in love with Ray Lamontagne. And there's no way he would break up with me. Haha.
Let's see...what else have I taken from it... I've learned that guys can say something and believe they mean it at the time when in actuality they are lying to themselves. For what reason, I have no idea. Maybe they think that saying and doing all the right things will help them feel what they think they should. All in all, men compartmentalize and too often use their brains instead of their hearts. This is what happened here. Oh well. Life goes on. 'Single for life' doesn't really sound that bad, as long as I'm happy. I just have to move on. Again.
SO I'm going out tonight with some of my old high school friends. Pre-party at Carol's house and then out. Not sure where we'll all go, but most likely Rice Village area. I have a killer outfit but I left my make-up at home. We'll have to just improvise.
Today I slept all day. I stayed up til 4am last night so I was super tired. My pain isn't too bad lately, but that could change in a matter of minutes. I have so much school work to do it's not even funny. I'm leaving tomorrow to go back to Austin so I can work on everything. I miss my twos. They are soo cute! I'll post pics of them soon. Thank you all for reading my blog. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
xoxo

Photo Shoot etc.

So on Tuesday morning I got up at the crack of dawn (7:45am) to get ready for my very first photo shoot. I rushed to get ready. I washed my face, applied toner, and applied my make-up meticulously. I ran out of the house at about 9am. I was late to meet the photographer at Whole Foods. He was okay with me being late though. I showed up with a ton of clothes, shoes, and jewelry. I had to lug everything around as we walked all over downtown from location to location.
We walked into the patio area of The Tiniest Bar in Texas behind Whole Foods and took a couple of shots. Then we moved to a walkway of an apartment and took some photos with my ankle-grazing trench coat. Then we moved to a crazy looking statue and took some pics. I took this one awesome pic outside of a new apartment next to a nice Mercedes. Then to the bridge near Town Lake. After that, I changed my outfit and we walked to City Hall and took some pics in the front of that. It was kind of embarrassing because there were all these people driving by staring at me and I was doing some funny-looking poses. Then we went to 4th street right outside Halcyon and took some photos on a brick wall. We ended the shoot in front of a purple wall. I was wearing a purple strapless dress so the pics looked really cool.
The only hard part was tramping around in 4inch heels. That got tiring after awhile. It was also cold outside. But I'm really excited about seeing the rest of the pictures! I only have one so far. The photographer is going to put the pics on a dvd so that I can print the best ones out and add them to my portfolio. I didn't get paid for the shoot and I didn't have to pay the photographer. We just traded time and pics. Soooo we'll see what comes out of this!
Ray Lamontagne says it best:
Let It Be Me
There comes a time,
A time in everyone's life
When nothing seems to go your way,
When nothing seems to turn out right
There may come a time,
You just can't seem to find your place
For every door you open,
Seems like you get two slammed in your face
That's when you need someone,
Someone that you, you can call
When all your faith is gone,
It feels like you can't go on
Let it be me
Let it be me
If it's a friend that you need
Let it be me
Let it be me
Feels like you're always comin' up last
Pockets full of nothin' ain't got no cash
No matter where you turn
You ain't got no place to stand
You reach out for somethin' and they slap your hand
I remember all too well
Just how it feels to be all alone
To feel like you'd give anything
For just a little place you can call your own
That's when you need someone,
Someone that you, you can call
When all your faith is gone
It feels like you can't go on
Let it be me
Let it be me
If it's a friend you need,
Let it be me
Let it be me
Let it be me
Let it be me
If it's a friend you need,
Let it be me
Let it be me
Let it be me

So Much Going On!
Not only do I have a Converse commercial audition tomorrow, but I have a REAL photo-shoot on Tuesday morning! I'm soooo excited! I will post pictures from that soon. I am also in the process of uploading a good recent photo of myself so that's why my old pic is no longer there.
My pain is getting unmanageable again. Sigh........
Cathy Walker: I couldn't find a way to reach you on blogger. I just remembered that I never responded to your comment forever ago. Thank you so much for praying for me and for the suggestion of the lady here in Austin. I will definitely check her out. I hope you still read my blog and I hope you are well. =)
UPDATE: I set my alarm for 9pm instaed of 9am and missed my Converse commercial audition. =( But hopefully something like that will turn up again. =)

Life Lately Pt. 2
Baria's new baby boy, Caleb
Ray LaMontagne
My Current obsession: A bowler hat
My new short haircut
At the talent show last week
More short hair
COLDPLAYI have recently been introduced to Ray LaMontagne and now I'm obsessed. I've been listening to the two cds my friend burned for me on repeat for hours. I went to the Coldplay concert on Wednesday in Dallas! It wasn't a life-changing experience like the last one was, but it was okay. They only played like 11 songs so that was a disappointment. They're still my favorite band, but their latest cd sounds better in the studio than live. Bummer. On the way to Dallas, I of course listened to Ray LaMontagne. His music is like a soul-folk-acoustic blend. He's amazing! I strongly suggest that you all check out his music. He's touring in Europe now Baria and Rowan! Haha.
So Baria and Rowan had a baby recently and he is absolutely adorable! I wish I could see him in person! I would smother him with kisses. Speaking of babies, I am a pre-school teacher at the JCAA (Jewish Community Association of Austin) in their ECP (Early Childhood Program). I love it! I look forward to going into work everyday. Although I don't look forward to changing poopy diapers (only 3 of our 11 kids are potty-trained). I work with the twos (we call them Ladybugs). There is another two-yr. old class and they are called the Penguins. =) My kids are sooo cute, but sooo bad!
My favorite is a little girl named Ana Clara. She is Portugese and speaks three languages (english, portugese, and spanish). She's a cute little girl with a huge mane of curls and chubby cheeks. She sometimes mumbles to herself in portugese and it's so adorable even though I have no idea what she's saying. Oh!! The other day I was being Cinderella in the empty classroom (we have to sweep, wipe and sanitize the tables, chairs and diaper table ourselves even though we have a huge janitorial staff--I guess all they do is mop the floors and take out the trash).
Anyway, I was cleaning my room by myself at the end of the day when Ana Clara and her mom came in to get her belongings. Ana Clara comes up to me and says (just like this): "M-m-miss Grace...I love you." It was soooooooo ADORABLE!!! I almost died! And now I tell everyone about this little exchange. It's nice to know that my class favorite also loves me. I'm literally obsessed with this little girl. She's so precious, and well-behaved too! Her parents are both professors at UT in the Spanish & Portugese Department and are also very sweet.
SOoo I know I sound really optimistic and happy, but things have been really hard lately. I've been having a lot of crying spells. Mostly because I'm in so much pain and I feel utterly hopeless. My pain lately has been pretty bad. At the end of every day it gets to about an 8 or 9. Stress of course makes everything worse and I've been really stressed out lately with school. I'm trying to manage to get good grades even though I've missed a lot of class and have to do a ton of make-ups. Sometimes I think it was a bad idea to jump in to 12 hours right away coming off a year of not being in school. But I've learned my lesson. I need to get on a better schedule. I'm a very fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants type of girl. That doesn't exactly mesh with my health and school and work schedule.
I've been trying to get into modeling. I set up an account on modelmayhem.com and I've gotten a few requests to take my picture. I may be getting together with a photographer next week who wants to shoot me in front of Austiny places like Town Lake and the capitol building. I'm excited about that! I also have an audition for a Converse commercial on monday so that's exciting too.
I still need to find a therapist here so that I have someone to talk to about everything I'm going through. I can't believe I've gone this whole semester without speaking to a professional. I guess I'm not looking forward to re-hashing all my issues to a complete stranger...
Well I'm on my way to baby-sit one of my twos! I'll try to check in here more often. I really need to. Let me know how you liked the opening to that story from my last post, and comment!!
xoxoxo

p.s. an ad for my services:
Life Lately
First of all, I want everyone to know that I love Rap. Love it. And my favorite rapper right now is T.I. He's amazing. I love rappers from the south. They're the best in my opinion. I love their swagger. T.I. is up against weapons charges right now and is facing about a year in prison because of having a weapon as a convicted felon. Homeboy was scared he would get shot at by haters. In fact, he only obtained the automatic machine guns after his best friend was shot while riding in the same car as him and died in his arms. I feel for the guy. Wanna know why? Because it must be insane to watch your best friend die in your arms. Earlier this year my friend Jessica Chermely passed away suddenly in a car crash in September. I hadn't kept in touch with her much since I left Arlington and I totally regret that now. I miss her a lot. I still think about her all the time. Anyway, so I can't imagine what that would be like to be there when someone you care about passes away. Also, T.I. is beautiful. I mean gorgeous. yes, he's short, but he's the only pretty rapper. That's for sure. Anyway, just had to get that out of my system...
Now, on to what's going on lately:
I can't wait for school to be over. This semester was hell. But I'll still end up with Two Bs and an A.
I have an idea for a short-story or novel. It came to me in a dream back in April. Here is the beginning:
She was different than the other girls. He didn't understand her sometimes. Although the time they did get to spend together was stolen and hidden, it was worth it. For the past few days it had been the same and then one hot, humid night everything changed quicker than the time it took to get a Texas-sized thunderstorm started.
And it was raining. God, how it poured. It pounded the roofs of the houses like the hoof beats of the four horsemen. Rushed down the streets like a mighty river. Torrents. Terror.
In the coming years, the people of that sleepy Texas town would disagree over what caused the rain. Was it the dead brown baby found floating in the river? Or was it the lynching of Tom Hruska and the uproar that followed? But no one raised their voices to argue with the fact that it happened as punishment for the town's evil ways. Just as in the days of Noah...
Let me know what y'all think!!!
I'll write more tomorrow. Love you all.
